Shorties U is an engaging four-Saturday filmmaking workshop for youth, grades 5-8. Led by area film experts, this creative learning experience takes students through the steps of creating their own short films – including how to develop a story, write a script, shoot on a budget and editing. Youth participants are encouraged to create and submit individual films for the screening, in addition to the team films. Classes/filming meets the four Saturdays of February 2026 from 9 am to noon at Epworth United Church. A Shorties U film screening will follow in April open to family and friends.
