Making Movies with your iPhone


As part of Sylvania Arts Tree City Film Festival programming: Learn how to make films with your iPhone! One day a week for four weeks, participants will meet with an instructor to learn about filmmaking with an iPhone. Each session will be 60 minutes long and will focus on a specific part of filmmaking – pre-production, production, post-production, and exhibition. At the end of the four-week workshop, students will also have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with industry pros: Instructor Chris Wegman, Josh Lightle - Filmmaker at Root for 10 years, and Nick Weiss - BGSU grad and commercial Director of Photography in the Cleveland area.

Classes meet Virtually from 10:00-11:00 am on the following Saturdays;

  • October 17th

  • October 24th

  • November 7th

  • November 14th.

Student Requirements:

  • An iPhone (version 5 SE or later) or an iPad (version 3 or later)

  • iMovie for iOS (iPhone or iPad) or macOS (MacBook, MacBook Air, or iMac)
